individuals can achieve radically different economic and wellbeing outcomes based on the capabilities they build.
At the Altruistic Capital Lab, we have designed, tested, and evaluated curricula that teach important capabilities through large-scale randomized controlled trials, primarily among vulnerable populations living in challenging and resource-constrained settings. The success of these programs shows that these skills are not only valuable but within everyone’s reach. These capabilities, by enabling individuals to cooperate, envision and build better collective futures, underlie the formation of altruistic capital.
